Watch gifted season 2 episode 128/30/2023 Divided We Fallīlink was angry about Thunderbird and Eclipse’s plans to abduct Lawrence Hayes, a key figure from Regimen. Andy managed to stop Rebecca, but his powers fatally injured her. However, Rebecca had a more murderous plan in mind as she tried to kill the entire Inner Circle. Instead, Andy decided to free Rebecca himself and escape with her. Andy wasn’t happy about seeing his love interest locked up and he refused to help the Inner Circle with their next mission. In the present, the Inner Circle considered a lethal solution for their Rebecca problem. Even Rebecca’s parents thought she was too dangerous. In a flashback, we learned that Rebecca’s own family turned her into Sentinel Services. That distraction allowed the Struckers to get away as the facility began to crumble. That swayed Noah from her side, and he personally destroyed the samples himself. The Struckers made one last attempt to change Garber’s mind, but she openly regarded mutant powers as a curse and vowed to save humanity. However, before the Struckers could destroy the samples, they were confronted by Garber and her security team. Once there, Lauren used her powers to keep the door from closing all the way. To set their plan in motion, Lauren got close to Noah and manipulated him into showing her where the mutant blood samples were kept. Lauren convinced Reed that they had to destroy Garber’s work, but Caitlin wasn’t immediately convinced. Garber’s connection to the Purifiers and her intent to cure every mutant regardless of their desires. In The Gifted season 2 episode 9, the Struckers had to decide how to handle that revelation. Butt they may have also stumbled upon a plot to depower every mutant. Meanwhile, the Struckers finally got help with Reed’s out of control powers. Thunderbird got a lead from Rebecca before she was recaptured, and Eclipse mourned the departure of his daughter. Rebecca’s actions incited more anti-mutant hatred, and even the Inner Circle wanted her out of the way. Last week’s episode dealt with the fallout of the Inner Circle’s Creed Financial.heist. Given their - er - complicated beginnings, it's nice to see them exist as the sole (seemingly) stable relationship on the series. There’s a paradigm shift coming for The Gifted, as the show’s fall finale sets up the remaining episodes of the season. Wrapping up, it was casually cool to see John and Clarice interacting like a notably loving and doting couple. Powers are usually tied to emotions and require training to control, so this new wild card might throw a wrench into the Underground's plan to stay in hiding, allowing everyone to think they're dead. We're not sure what they are (something something worms in his arms) but it's kind of intersting to watch someone have to come to terms with mutant abilities as an adult. Speaking of the Strucker clan: Reed's powers, that were supposedly supressed, are finally starting to manifest. She's super pissed at Andy and everything he's done to their family. He probably has designs to try and rope her into the Inner Circle, but from what we saw of Lauren, she's nowhere close to siding with them. What will the rest of the season bring though? What is Reeva planning? What can she plan with so few operatives? On that front, Andy may seem more "at home" than usual, but Lauren's dream about him, which almost seemed prophetic since she was able to catch sight of his new hair, indicates that he's still out to use their Fenris power for mass destruction purposes. Now that the baby is born, will Reeva continue to see her as a hinderance? As something that distracts Polaris and takes her attention away from the mission? It's unlikely that she'll try to kill the baby, but could she - say - make sure that Marcos gets his hands on her? Maybe just shift the girl's surroundings a bit so that her dad takes care of her? It's an interesting dynamic and a cool set up for the season. In fact, Polaris has enough clarity to know Reeva - aka Marvel's Black Queen - cares more about her, and her lineage, than saving her baby girl. Andy just generally seems to be happy, and more well-adjusted, and the friendship he's forming with Polaris feels like the two of them slowly recognizing that they're a bit adrift in their new surroundings. Certainly, even though they're both hot-headed and prone to impulsive violence, Polaris and Andy aren't as hardcore as Reeva. In that regard, it's refreshing that there are regrets, on both sides, and that - aside from Reeva and the Frost sisters murdering a bunch of folks at the top - we're not sure how "evil" the Inner Circle will be. At least both Reed and Lauren managed set Caitlin straight, a little bit, as this episode closed out reminding her that Andy chose to leave them and wasn't being held captive. After this episode, it'd be great if they gave the constant infighting a rest, at least for a while, since it does tend to dominate the show to a smothering degree.
